Welcome to the Marvels Community

Morrello Marvels as a Community Interest Company (CIC) was founded in August 2020. We are aiming to support people who are living with a neurological condition to live a healthy, active life. We aim to overcome barriers to participating in physical exercise and activities. Morrello Marvels CIC was awarded lottery funding during 2021 and 2022 for the Physio in a Box project, which was supporting those affected by covid.

Currently, Morrello Marvels are fundraising for robotic exercise equipment to be available for people living with a longterm neurological condition

The Morrello’s Marvels Paracycling Club was established over 10 years ago by a group of Morrello Rehabilitation Clinic’s patients, all of whom are like-minded, determined individuals with a desire to go cycling with their friends and family and show the world that having a disability, whether physical or mental, is no barrier to participating in sport. Members of Morrello’s Marvels come from all walks of life. Our paracyclists have endured much in their lives but we have a common purpose in cycling. The health benefits are manifold, both physiologically and psychologically. It’s enjoyable, accessible, inclusive, has broad appeal and is an excellent way of improving our general fitness.

As one of our paracyclists said not long ago, “…cycling really is for all, regardless of what life throws at you.”

We are always on the look out for new members, whether that be as a paracyclist, a support rider, or vehicle support crew – all are very welcome.

What we offer

Para-Triathlon

We organise this fundraiser once a year where there are a few simple rules. You can enter as a team, each team must have at least one person who identifies as living with a neurological condition. Each team completes the disciplines of walking, swimming and cycling. Each team records their progress during the day. Compulsory to have fun!
